Let the adventure begin!

Welcome to March and the first day of Adventure Block Swap.

Please take a moment to go check the Swap Calendar. Be sure you are making for each month you planned to be in the swap, noting that July and December there are no swap assignments. If you see a month you are not being made for or you are making for yourself [I think I managed to avoid this], let me know immediately via email.

You will note there are two lines for one of our swappers. She is making two blocks each month and requesting two different blocks be made for her. Please be sure you are coordinating the correct block to the correct designation of her name on the Block Links. Her instructions may change as the year goes on in her Google Doc, so please check it again before you make for her in case it has evolved.

For any makers that anticipate being absent from meetings but are making for those months, please coordinate with me for delivery of your blocks. Melissa and I are both able and willing to receive blocks if you need someone to take your blocks to meetings.

I know some of us will make the whole year's worth of blocks in the next few months, and again I caution you in doing this as our roster may change. Unless you are certain of someone, I would recommend making only 2 to 3 months ahead. As for swapping early, I have no issues with that, just remember that you may have to wait for your blocks until the month they are scheduled to be made.

If you come across broken links, swapping conflicts, or have any other questions or corrections, send me an email and I will get to it this weekend. I hope you all have fun in this swap and I cannot wait to see what we all make this coming year.

Cheers!
Megan

Last few days of registration.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for signing up for the Adventure Block Swap.

I am awaiting the last few registrants to our swap. This Friday, the 1st of March, I will post the calendar of assignments on the Calendar page [not currently available]. At that time I will be closing registration of the Google form, so anyone that wants to join will need to speak to me either in person at the meeting or via email. Once March assignments are posted, anyone interested in joining the swap will be added the following month, and going forward if you want to be in the swap let me know before the 1st of each month.

As I mentioned on the Guidelines page, people may come and go from the swap, so don't make too far ahead on the assignment schedule, as it may change. I will do my utmost best to prevent changes from effecting too many people, but just keep it in mind.

Take a moment to check the Block Links page for current tutorials and instructions on blocks for our participants. There are a number of YouTube video links and all the blocks are fantastic. I think we are going to have a super fun year.

A reminder, there will not be block assignments in July or December, per events on the guild calendar. Check with me via email for clarification of tutorials and instructions. Some participants have offered to provide fabric for their blocks, so let me know as soon as you realize you need it so I can arrange delivery.

Thank you again for signing up and come back Friday for your March assignment!
